Where IS GTAStunting?

If you're a regular member of GTAStunting.net you may have noticed the site has been offline for some weeks now. The staff have been working on a way to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Meanwhile, if you need your GTAS fix you can go to the temporary forums where you will find what you need.

Dec 21st 2008 by Nitzkit

Is Uwe going to make a sequel?

Those that have enjoyed the experience of games such as Far Cry and the superior hardware demanding Crysis, compliments of the German video game company Crytek, are probably looking forward to the release of Far Cry 2 which is set in Africa. I really enjoyed Far Cry (the GAME!) for the B-movie vibe, but the luscious landscape with the beautiful beaches are what attracted me to it. I wonder if Africa can provide similar eye candy as a backdrop.

This recently released demo shows a good amount of gameplay footage in completing one mission. Throughout the footage, the host notes that there are 50 square kilometers of open land to explore and proclaims "It's an open world, you can do whatever the fuck you want" ( in an African setting... riding elephants, hang gliding into giraffes' heads. I wonder how rich the sandbox experience can be).

Although that is a lot of terrain to have, it won't automatically improve the fun factor of a game, but it does sound and look good so far (though the scenery may be drab in many parts). The fact that there are no loading screens in any parts of the map is a nice touch for such an expansive map.

The demo begins by introducing your "buddies", other characters that you will interact with and who are also playable. I was hoping for the guy playing to mess with these characters as they were talking to you. I know the first thing many would do is to punch the NPCs present . The landscape is well crafted, boasting tons of technical features such as a wind system and fire propagation (fires spread to flammable objects such as the surrounding vegetation) which they did not dive deeper about.

There is a lot of great footage (despite a crash  ), and a heated gunfight, during which the host kept silent, which I appreciated so the game could just speak for itself. Overall though, I would have preferred to see a technical demo with a constructed map just for showing off the technical features of the environment engine, the A.I, and even the hang glider. Also, I would've liked to see more in-depth footage of repairing cars. In the demo it seemed very simplistic, and I'd like to know how complex it can become.

During the demo you'll see some familiar weapons from the first Far Cry and some new ones ranging from a machete to a flame thrower. A new feature for some weapons is the random chance for it to "jam" on the player, which I think could really heighten the game experience. Hopefully it will be a rare occurence to keep the idea fresh and won't get overused dilluting it's effectiveness of creating subtle suspense and sudden tension when it occurs. I did enjoy the use of F-bombs coming from the enemies and the protagonist which just gives that extra sense of what you'd expect to hear as bullets are flying by.

The game still has many months of development so it has a lot of room to polish up, but I think it looks great so far. According to the host, it will boast at least 50 hours of gameplay and I guess time will only tell if your beefed up PC, or a PS3/Xbox 360, will be able to handle it.

Transmogrify

USS Crew brings us a new stunt video featuring the newly formed line up of stunters that have been added. Dealing with a period of inactivity and absence of key members, the crew managed to come together recruiting new blood determined to breath life back into the USS logo bringing you Transmogrify with Daffy as a guest stunter.

Lagoon

Almost a year ago, a stunter, Brulla conceptualized a stunt video deterring from the usual focus of PCJ stunts and putting emphasis on the less "popular" vehicles. He then asked Neo, Kaneda, Madmax, Dannye, and Samurai to collaborate with this idea. The final product that was created is Lagoon.

Bill O'Reilly Sucks

Bill O'Reilly sucks and that includes his gaming skills. Check out this silly little mash up of his recently exposed temper tantrum with the unforgiving notorious tunnel stage from Battletoads. I myself remember getting this flustered over this difficult game and never being able to see past the ice stage. Thanks to tool assisted videos, I was able to see the ending after years of waiting.

Flash 3

Flash 3 is the newest stunt video in this series featuring Amphetamine Jaja Luky, Rod, donfikeegd, Morbidxx, Mythic and Knapman.

A simple stunt video with 3 minutes of constant excellent stunts with variety such as a precision palm tree landing to lengthy ledge grinds.

WH doesn't discriminate

WH Crew doesn't care if they are riding their PCJs through Los Santos of San Andreas or Ocean Beach of Vice City. They will produce a great stunt video using any GTA they encounter.

Here is WH bringing two excellent videos that really push the limits of stunting in both games.

Avalanche - SA stunt video:

Exodus - VC stunt video:

I'm sure in the future they'll continue to push the boundaries of stunting in Algonquin of GTA IV.

If you enjoyed those vids. You might want to check out their prior VC vid Neuralgia.

Better late than never...

Well, I hope everyone's had an amazing year and cheery holidays! It's been a while since the year 2007 has been over so we might as well end it with a review of videos that have been released in the previous months.

2008

San Andreas - Chapter XXIII - New vid by TMS. Can't say much since I haven't even seen this vid yet, so.... *downloading*

San Andreas - Elements - Dejv and Drizzly, Concept got nothing against these two. A straightfoward video that shows just what these two are about. Take a look. (Filefront Link)

Vice City
- Renegade - 2 months into the new year and we already have a Kaneda and Neo collab! They say words make the strongest impression, they never said anything about stunting. Jam-packed and ready to go, this video will leave you begging for more.

San Andreas - Concept 3 - kr3mlin and company are back yet again.Stunting is like a coin, and this video reveals both sides. (Filefront Link)

San Andreas - Atlantis - One of THE best SA vids you will ever see, period. Stunts by Black and White Streets and editing by one of the finest. (Megaupload Link)

Vice City - Off The Wall - After watching this video you'd think the guy was stunting San Andreas. VenomX is one of a kind and he is the future of stunting. Don't believe me? Download this vid. (Filefront Link)

Vice City - The Art of Stunting - The definition of stunting. (Filefront Link)

Vice City
- The Final Experiment - CF's last crew video. You won't even need your computer chair while watching this video cause you will have already fallen out one third of the way into the video. We may never know what the future may bring but good luck to the rest of its members.

San Andreas - Super Sunday Solo - BobSaget + leftovers = awesome vid? I always knew my math was bad. Take a look. (Filefront Link)

San Andreas
- I Imagine - Woah, deja vu. Seriously, I just had deja vu while typing this. Anyways, kr3mlin is always standing out from the crowd and this video shows he definitely does stand out. Everyone else uses NRGs, he uses grenades. A grenade boosting solo that will show you that there is no need for an NRG to get on any roof you desire. (Filefront Link)

2007

Vice City - Techjam - TMS have once again become one, not for another SA crew collab, but instead for a VC crew video that will keep you exhilarated until the very end of this little joyride. Astonishing stunts by the crew with incredible editing by BobSaget. Quality and quantity packaged into one. A great video for the history books.

Vice City - Peace of Mind - Kert is a domestic name in the stunting world. From his way to SA, from no way to yay yay. Kert seemingly closes the final chapter of his stunting career with one last solo.

San Andreas - Concept 2 - A sequel to the original video, features further exploration of SA stunting and its physics to bring forth a video among the masses. Organized by kr3mlin and Colddeath, edited by Torque. Be sure to check out the prodigious video that will make Concept the household name it is today.

San Andreas - Watch This! - Newcomer Taz's first solo. A dual effort by JL and Taz alike, a team that will surely rock you. If the editing doesn't win you over then the stunts surely will. The title is self-explanatory.

San Andreas - Aero - A solo by Daffy. (Megaupload Link)

Vice City - ATS Xmas 07 - A video that will awaken the Christmas spirit in you. This video features all members from the crew, past and present. A video to all viewers from the crew that wish everyone fun and happy holidays.

Vice City - TMS Christmas 2007 - TMS... well, just Kingjad, gives us one more reason we should be thankful for stunting. Once I find out what that reason is, I'll let you know, but in the meantime take a while to check out TMS Christmas 2007. (Youtube Link)

San Andreas / Vice City - Black Christmas - No more Christmas jingles, a different kind of holiday video with stunts! (Filefront Link)

Vice City - Ethereal - The latest Wasteland Heroes crew video. I lost track of all the 170ft bumps that you'll just have to watch the video and see for yourself. A soundtrack that fits the video along with stunts that fit the crew. Several shockers in the video, but I don't want to give too much away.

San Andreas - The Watched - XSA just seems to have been hiding this entire year. And watch out world, they have teamed up with aliens! They give us an amazing video that will surely leave an impression on all stunters out there. This video goes as far as to dissent with the current standards of vids today.

San Andreas - Snow Call - A collaboration video with Corevil and Kallesetae, this video reminds me of why I watch SA vids. (Megaupload Link)

Vice City - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas - Sweet wanted to make the last vid of 07, but due to all the timezones, he technically couldn't. You guys can watch it if you want to.

Anything but Underrated

Two fairly new stunters, Mr.Magic and Bliss, have gotten together to produce a truly amazing collab, Underrated. The video features two guest stunters as well. Fantastic stunts, spectacular music, mind-blowing intro and a remarkable video all around. My final word to you guys is to definitely check out this video as it is anything but underrated.

Aug 01st 2007 by Torque

Another day goes by...

There's been several... actually quite a hell of a lot of timed videos released in the past month. First of all we have the GTAStunting 24 hour collab entitled Core (Low Quality). This video was brought together by Question and edited by Brandon6199.

The other timed videos we've had were:

24 Hours Away - Krow, Haywire, Stormlexer
Blackout - Further Beyond
Brutality - Feron, Barney, Blah, Godson, Kenny, Hexecutioner
Confusion - Amphetamine, Herrarge, Darkyy, Vicarious, Jessrocked, xMinTx, FIGHTER, Godson, xKxzOuhx, Cdarmy
Desekration - A lot of stunters
Dimness - Baki, Matias, Species, Wozzie
Drugs - Stormlexer
FFS - Twisted Metal Stunters
HELLYEAH - Barney, boxXx, H3XECUTIONER, morbidxxx
Life Like - Barney, boxXx, Wozzie, H3X, AtomiK, Rocka, Stormlexer, Krow
Limited Limit - boxXx
Migraine - Chaos Theory
Mongling - Sweet
Morning Sun - Xtramus
Sanitarium - Inwa
Zero - Torque, Ralleee, Iskanderrr

The videos I've listed probably aren't even half of the total amount released.

Brulla and Dannye have gotten together and brought us Tandem, a video that shows no limits to what stunting without a PCJ can bring.

Untolerant, is the name of Daksad's new SA solo. Many of you might have not heard of him but after you see this video, his name will surely stay in your mind.

Rake Up, is a SA collaboration video by Fox[Master] and Lab. Check it out.

Cross, Darkslide, and Guardian might be leaving stunting as we know it, but they won't go without a blast. They bring us Goodbye.

Xtramus has been known for releasing unique, one of a kind videos but there's a video that probably no stunter has seen before. Xtramus had made a solo called Rising which hadn't been released to public viewing until now. So go download Rising, it's a great laid back solo and will soothe you until the end.

Evilized
, a nice community video from the guys over at gtasajten.

finallight has been around the Vice City scene long enough but here he presents to you Daisy Medicine, a very fine SA solo.

Leftovers, TD, Kert and Ostis get rid of unseen stunts.

Kert is a stunter who has been with us for a long time stunting in both Vice City and San Andreas. No Way Out is the name of his last solo, and possibly second to last video ever. Best of wishes with whatever you plan to do in your future, dude.

Here's a different kind of video, Faceless, a bunch of stunters get together and do an anonymous collab. The goal of the video was to show that stunters can make a video and like it without getting recognition for it.

Overflow is the name of TMS' new San Andreas crew video. Featuring stunts that aren't anything below today's standards, but may as well be a notch above.

TMS' new Vice City crew video, Voyage. The guys from TMS show that VC and LC are still alive and kicking with stunts waiting to be done.

XSA is also back with another SA crew video, Unbroken, featuring stunts and editing that will make you come begging back for more.

That's it for now, I'll keep you guys updated as soon as more videos are released.

Time for another update

Hey everyone, Torque again from GTAStunting.com just giving you guys the lowdown on the latest releases from the stunters at GTAS.

First of all, we have Lockdown (Filefront Link), a good little collab that was started by Xtramus and taken over by me. It had a huge variety of stunts by old veterans to new stunters all around, definitely a video to check out. Also for those who are having problems with Filefront, here's a couple of other links: Lockdown (Megaupload), Lockdown (Sendspace) and Lockdown (Filefactory). Major thanks to Daffy for those 3 links.

Darkness and Kaneda, they may seem like your normal GTA-loving aussies on the outside, but what happens when these two join forces for another video? All hell breaks loose! An amazing video by two pioneers of VC and SA stunting, DARKAN productions presents to you guys Recollection (Filefront Link). A blast from the past by these two that features amazing stunts, revolutionary editing and a hardcore soundtrack. A must see for any stunter.

Foreskin Follies, a well-known crew that usually makes 24-hour videos, has released another video which is undoubtedly their best production yet, where some guest stunters also make an appearance. Check out Khazstrate.

XSA is one of the most revolutionary San Andreas stunting crews around, but while SA may be their home turf, they're not afraid to try something new. And with all that said, here is their third Vice City crew video, XVC 3: Purity.

bj070893 of USS has apparently released what he likes to call his "second best solo". If that's the case, then he has something truly remarkable in store for us . Sentenced 2 Stunt is the name of his new solo and it features great stunts with exciting editing along with a flashback of some of his previous work. Click. Download. Watch. Repeat.

From the dawn of stunting, our favorite purple dinosaur has caused our jaws to drop time and time again and he won't stop! Barney brings to you the latest installment of his spectacular videos, Unorthodox - stunting at its finest.

A certain stunter that has been around longer than most have known and has a history that has been a secret to those around him, Haywire, unleashes his reign of terror with a montage video. It shows his stunting career from the beginning to near present day. A Montage, not an ordinary stunt video, but very enjoyable to watch.

Need you like a drug... Last, but not least, Daffy. He's had an amazing stunting career and is probably at the top of his game right now. Just when you think it's getting harder and harder to find stunts, Daffy blows you away with a video that will keep your jaw on the floor from the beginning to the end, Kamikaze.

Also, I landed the first clean, kickass caddy grind for my GTAStunting League 3 challenge, so download it here (I kinda figured I'd add a bit of something since I'm the one writing all this ).

That's it for now, keep on coming to TGA and stop by GTAStunting every once in a while. Hope you've enjoyed those videos for now. Thanks for taking the time to read this .

The new GTA IV trailer and assorted business

As one would gather from all the coordinated, cross-media campaign preparations leading to GTA IV's rather eventful trailer release a few short hours ago on a dozen and more places -- official, fansites, game trailer depots, video uploading services, you name it -- apparently GTA IV is expected to do nothing short of ushering in a new era of open-ended sandbox gameplay and redefine the entire non-linear urban action genre. Of course all that comes only second to the more important reason that the trailer was already uploaded here in two versions by BJ and BK, so I figured I might as well make a news piece out of this, right?

Do note, however, that this does not imply a change in mission statement on TGA's behalf and hosted video game trailers won't be a frequent sight here. Still, given the video's close ties to everything one could find here for the past 3½ years, it's a fair guess that this concerns at least 90% of our members, so an exception's in order :). Alright, enough yappin', let's cut to the chase:

HQ version (1280x720, 66MB) | LQ version (640x360, 31MB)

Tempting as it may be, GTA fans would be urged to decide how original the coming title might be after considering the trailer (and hopefully some gameplay footage later on?) instead of just relying on current, speculative fansite hype, for once.

One last piece of business: due to the recent influx of spam comments, its use has now been restricted to registered site members only from the previous free-for-all arrangement. Stronger measures may be implemented in the future as well, for example, some Captcha script, depending on the effectiveness of this step; we'll see.

- Your friendly neighborhood TGA admin (one of them, anyway).

Latest videos from GTAStunting.com

Well it's been quite a while since news has been added here, so I'll do the honors of presenting everyone with the latest videos from GTAStunting.com.

After the great work Samurai had done on Connected, Tackleberry brings us another instant community classic, Interlocked.

Aries, Kaneda and Neo of ATS, along with a friend named Nikon, present to you an amazing Liberty City taxi video, Save Me. They show that LC still has tremendous potential for taxi stunting along with a great soundtrack and smooth editing.

TMS brings you Echo, their latest San Andreas crew video that will be sure to leave a lasting impression on you. Must see for any San Andreas stunter.

XSA isn't slowing down anytime soon. Impure is the name of the new SA video by them. With new stunters and old ones returning, you never know what they're gonna dish out next.

Zero Signal is back with a big hit, The Final Exertion, their first ever San Andreas crew video. Great stunts, great music and it's definetely going to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Pulling pranks in a video game to a guy who lives on the other side of the world couldn't be anymore fun. Neo and Kaneda keep up the series with a new themed video which is sure to be their best work yet, Psyched IV. The video brings the series to a close with tons of laughs.

A Swedish online Grand Theft Auto community brings you their latest community video, Sky High, by stunters from both GTAStunting and their home site, GTAsajten.com.

Congratulations to Further Beyond on getting their own crew section on GTAStunting. Hope you make everyone there proud! The guys from FB present to you their new San Andreas stunt video, Offensive.

That's it for now, keep yourselves updated by checking out GTAStunting.com and TGA every once in a while. Hope you enjoy the videos on behalf of everyone from GTAS .

Running smooth again

Alright, everything should be running smooth again. If you get any PHP errors, email me and let me know at webmaster@tgahq.com.

We have a new admin, Aries. He is going to help out with the downloads section, moving things to the classics, making sure everything is within the rules, and posting news.

We are looking for another admin to add, someone who is familiar with PHP. This person is going to be a developer. Responsibilities would be fixing PHP errors, improving existing code, and creating new sections. It would require a few hours a week of your time. You don't need to be an expert, just understand the basics of PHP, HTML, CSS and be able to use all of them together. If you're interested in helping out, please contact me by emailing webmaster@tgahq.com, or Samurai, or Aries.
